About Leota Braun Charitable Foundation

The Leota Braun Charitable Foundation, Inc. exists to provide financial support for projects and activities that will improve the quality of life for residents of the Ohio communities of Rockford, Willshire and Mendon, as well as surrounding rural areas of the Parkway Local School District. The foundation provides the vehicle for donors to make tax-advantaged charitable contributions for the benefit of the Foundation’s areas of service. It also assures the ongoing competent management, investment and distribution of donated funds throughout and beyond the lifetimes of the donors, in accordance with their wishes.

Contest Purpose

Competition participants will submit a logo design[s] to represent the charitable deeds of Leota Braun Charitable Foundation, including but not limited to elements of: community, investment, scholarship, donors and recipients, legacy and giving.


Official Rules

The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for Leota Braun Charitable Foundation. The logo may be used in all media – including online, print, on merchandise, and other visual collateral. Following are the official contest rules:

  • Eligible participants may be individuals or teams.
  • A signed Logo Design Contest Rules and Entry Form must accompany each design submission by the entrant [individual or team]
  • All submitted work must be the original work of the entrant[s] and must not include, be based on, or derived from any pre-existing or third-party designs, trademarks or copyrighted images.
  • All entries will become the property of Leota Braun Charitable Foundation. By submitted an entry, each entrant agrees that any and all intellectual property rights in the logo design are deemed assigned to Leota Braun Charitable Foundation.
  • Except where prohibited by law, an entry submission into this contest constitutes permission to use the winner’s name, likeness, prize information and information provided on the entry form for publicity purposes without further permission or compensation.
  • The Leota Braun Charitable Foundation reserves the right to modify the winning logo to better fit the needs of the organization.
  • The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
  • Should an entrant be selected, the selected winner MUST submit a scalable vector version of the winning design so that it is adaptable to electronic and print media, to reproduction on small and large surfaces and to use in color or grayscale, along with brand guidelines [CMYK, RBG, HEX code, and font usage].


How to Enter

To enter the Leota Braun Charitable Foundation logo design contest, eligible participants must:

  • Complete the Logo Design Entry Form on the next page.
  • Create a logo design in .jpeg, .png or PDF to submit as an attachment along with the entry submission. [If you are selected as the chosen winner, you MUST be able to provide a high-resolution vector file, e.g.: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.].
  • Image size may be no larger than 2.5” by 2.5” in size, if shown in square format. If shown in horizontal or vertical versions, image may not exceed 2” by 3.”
  • Submission must include a full color and black and white version of artwork.


Submission Details

All entries received electronically by Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:59 PM will be considered. [LBCF reserves the right to extend the deadline.]

  • Submit your completed Entry Form and attach an electronic version of the logo design to Leota Braun Charitable Foundation via email at lbcf.logocontest@gmail.com.

All submissions must include your name and two ways to contact you [e.g.: phone number/cell phone, email address, mailing address].


Selection Criteria

A Selection Committee comprised of Leota Braun Charitable Foundation board directors will evaluate all entries based on the following criteria [though other criteria may be considered]:

  • Relevance: Does the entry align with the theme and goals of Leota Braun Charitable Foundation?
  • Originality: Does the composition exhibit original design, creativity, and imagination?
  • Aesthetic Quality: Does the submission command attention? Does it display visual balance and color coordination? Do all the elements work together to create a unified and appealing design?


If a winner is selected from the submissions received, the winner will be notified and announced by July 31, 2023.


The selected artist[s] will be awarded with a $500 cash prize


Leota Braun Charitable Foundation will acquire ownership of the winning logo by assignment of copyright and the winning designer will disclaim any trademarks and without limitation all other rights related to the design. By submitting a logo for entry in the competition, the designer acknowledges that he/she is the person that created the logo and is the rightful owner. The designer also certifies that the logo does not infringe upon the rights of any third party and that it does not violate any copyright.
